Harvesting June 5, 2012

I am continuing to reap the harvest from my Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli and lettuce. I am just starting to harvest my radishes and onions. As you can see from the pictures my Tomatoes and Peppers are doing very well. 5 of my pepper plants have good sized peppers and my tomatoes are just starting to bear fruit. We had temperatures up to 91 degrees yesterday and I decided to leave the tops closed to see what would happen. My plants showed significant growth inside the Grow it Now! Plant Protectors and the temperature inside was well over 110 degrees. My plants did not show any signs of being too hot. I just made sure they had plenty of water.

Here is a picture of part of my harvest from today. My cabbage, cauliflower and brocolli are doing better than I could imagine. Since the bugs haven’t started coming out in full force yet, I have been able to harvest a lot of off shoots from my brocolli plants.

How well do the Grow it Now! Plant Protectors work?

Here I put my tomato cage over my plant and then I connected 2 large protectors together and put them around my plant and cage. The wind is still horrendous even though the weather is warming up. The wind protection is mainly what I am using this for however, the added heat is also helping these plants grow significantly. How to use Grow it Now! Plant Protectors on Larger Plants?
